For Peter Pan on her 70th Birthday by Sarah Ruhl
Directed by Val Sheppard

"When Ann thinks of her father, she immediately remembers playing Peter Pan in her hometown theater in Iowa, particularly when he used to bring her flowers after every performance. Her memory is jogged by the fact that she and her four siblings are in their father's hospital room during his final moments. His death sparks a conversational wake that includes everything from arguments over politics to when each sibling realized that they grew up. A loving look at a family's view of death, life, and the allure of never growing up."

"For Peter Pan on her 70th Birthday" is a deeply personal and affecting dramatic-comedy about the power of memory and the nostalgia we all feel as we continue to grow up, despite many of us wanting to remain in Neverland. This show has 6 characters (4m, 2f) between the ages of 50-84.

Performances June 15-25 at Pier One Theatre on the Homer Spit.

Maud of the Island written & directed by Jessica Golden

"On Prince Edward Island in 1906, aspiring 'authoress' Maud Montgomery draws literary inspiration from her friends and neighbors, while caregiving for her aging grandmother, Lucy. But when relatives threaten to take their beloved home out from under them, Maud must decide how much of her independence she's willing to barter for her shot at becoming a great writer."

Maud of the Island is a historical comedy about the period of Lucy Maud Montgomery's life on rural PEI, Canada right before she publishes her classic children's novel "Anne of Green Gables." This family-friendly, two-act comedy will run outdoors in midsummer and features colorblind roles for all genders, and ages ranging from 16-82 years.
