Introducing Val Sheppard!

It is our great pleasure to welcome Val Sheppard as the new office assistant at Pier One Theatre! Val has long been a part of Pier One, first as a Youth Theatre Camper, then later as an ambitious young director, taking on classics such as Glengarry Glen Ross, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Waiting for Godot, and Five Women Wearing the Same Dress. She is well known for her acting chops, appearing as Reverend Shannon, Rosencrantz, Vladimir (or Didi if you prefer,) Sir Lancelot, and Dogberry to name a few, (she has also inexplicably played a cop more times than we can count) and as a variety of characters in the musicals Les Miserables, Chicago, and Jesus Christ Superstar. We are excited to have Val lend her hand to the less eye-catching, but no less essential, aspects of running a theatre such as managing social media, coordinating volunteers, making copies, and selling tickets!

"It means a tremendous deal to me to be given the opportunity to contribute to the growth and prosperity of Pier One Theatre in such a direct and impactful way. I'm profoundly grateful to [the administrative team] for having faith in me, for being so accommodating and welcoming, and for being committed to the safety and well-being of everyone involved in this organization at all levels of participation. I hope to live up to the expectations they and other members of this community have of me, and I hope you will continue to support Pier One Theatre into the future." - Val Sheppard
