It’s the third year of the 10 Minute play festival. You’ve become intrigued, piqued, obsessed even, but still, you’ve only been able to make the effort to spectate. Until now… You’ve unlocked a door with the key of imagination and beyond this plane there lies something enticing, something bizarre, something unbelievably compelling. Whoever the characters, whatever the plot, by some impossible twist, you can’t let go, you can’t walk away, you’re being drawn in…into Another Dimension.

  • Submit a Play

    This festival is open to Alaskan playwrights and past/present attendees of the Valdez Theatre Conference only. (Only the first 30 submissions from out-of-state playwrights will be considered. Some preference will be given to Homer area and Alaskan writers.)

    Call for Entries Deadline - May 15, 2026

    Submissions must be no longer than 10 pages in 12 point font, not including a title page and character list.

    Cast must consist of 6 or fewer players.

    Brand new local works encouraged!

    Plays must incorporate the theme, “Another Dimension.”

  • Direct a Play

    Call for Directors Deadline - May 1, 2026:

    Around eight plays will be produced.

    Directors will direct 1 play each and participate in the reading and selection of submissions.

    Directors will be responsible for casting their show from a pool of interested actors, or from the community at large. 

     If you are interested in participating as a director, please send us an email. No experience is required, but please tell us a little bit about yourself!

    Additionally, potential directors are encouraged to attend the festival kickoff on Tuesday, April 7, 6:00PM at Alice’s Champagne Palace in the upstairs loft.

  • Performers & Crew

    Call for Performers: 

    Actors are invited to sign up! Let us know that you are interested, and our directors will make every attempt to use you in appropriate roles.

    Each play will have between 1 and 6 characters. Actors may appear in more than one play.

    Individual directors may call for an audition after they have selected their play. 

    Call for Tech Crew: 

    Let us know if you are interested in working backstage, lights, or sound!
