Festive Fourth Wall Fundraiser
In the theatre, the FOURTH WALL means "the imaginary, invisible wall, as across the front of the stage, that separates the world constructed by a play, from the actual world inhabited by the audience."
The intimate connections forged by community theatre however, continuously show us that the wall is indeed imaginary! Actors, directors, stage crew, front of house volunteers, audiences, and donors all come together in one wonderful room to create our theatre community!
The end of the calendar year is always the time we think most about the budget. We consider the season past, and plan for the season to come. Donations from this community (our Raven's Club) make up over 20% of our annual operating budget. We hope you will consider an end of season gift to Pier One Theatre in support of our work creating high quality community theatre productions and introducing youth to the stage!
For 2024, we have set an end-of-year fundraising goal of $15,000. There are several great ways to help us reach this goal!
• Festive Fourth Wall Fundraiser - Please join us for our first ever online auction! There are some amazing items here that would make perfect gifts for the special people in your life. The auction is hosted by 32Auctions. The auction is open until December 21. Highlight items include a 6 person wildlife tour with Captain Curt Jackson of Mako's Water Taxi, a 2 night stay at the Stellar View B&B, a gorgeous quilt from the home of Shirley Timmreck, paintings by Diane Spence Chorman and Jan Peyton, a beef roast from McNeil Canyon Meats, and more!
• Give the gift of theatre to your friends and loved ones! - Our office store is stocked with show tokens and ticket punch cards, water bottles and stickers, "Treasures from the Tomb" - vintage and unique clothing, and our tee shirts and hoodies. This weekend we will be open Friday the 29th, and Saturday the 30th, 11 AM -5 PM for holiday shopping, and then open for our regular hours Monday - Friday 11 AM - 5 PM until Christmas.
• Join the Raven's Club - If you have been meaning to take the plunge and donate to Pier One, come and see us on #GIVINGTUESDAY (tuesday, December 2), have some hot beverages and popcorn, and join the incredible list of your friends and neighbors in the Raven's Club! If you are already a member, please come on by for a visit and the popcorn!
