Acting workshop for Pop-Up Theatre
JULY 6-AUGUST 3
We're offering a five week collaborative exploration of character and scene development.
Actors choose from a collection of monologues and small scenes selected from public domain or locally written material.
Each week we explore one of five different acting methods (Classical, Chekhov, Method, Meisner, and Practical Aesthetics) and discuss how it could apply to our scenes. We check in with one another about individual scene development, line memorization, setting, costumes, props, and present our scenes for peer review.
At the end of the workshop, there will be a performance ready scene from each participant, and a deeper understanding of our craft.
Ages 16+ (younger with director permission). Participation is free. Selections from these scenes will be performed live with COVID precautions in place at “Pop-Up” locations throughout August and September.
