Sarah L. Brewer

MUD BAY BARDS CHAIR

Sarah Brewer has been a Pier One Theatre, Inc. board member since 2019.  She studied theatre at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, with Anatoly Antohin, Kade Mendelowitz, and Tara Maginnis.  She also studied at CUNY at Hunter College in New York City.  Her formative years were spent deeply entrenched in the community theatre world of Fairbanks with Fairbanks Light Opera Theatre, Fairbanks Drama Association, Theatre UAF, and Fairbanks Shakespeare Theatre.  In 2020 she co-founded the Mud Bay Bards, a creative branch of Pier One Theatre, Inc. whose goal is to bring forward Shakespearean programming and productions to the Southern Kenai Peninsula.  She currently serves as Chair for this branch, as well as Secretary for the Pier One board.  She has a Master's degree in Education, and drama integration and education is one of her passions, especially when it comes to Shakespeare.
