Katelyn Wythe was appointed as the President of the Pier One Board of Trustees in 2026. She was born and raised in Homer. As such, she had a love of theatre and music fostered in her from a young age. She went on to secure a degree in Vocal Performance as a classically trained Soprano, as well as attending a year at the Portland Actor’s Conservatory. She also attained a degree in Healthcare Administration.

Katelyn’s scholastic endeavors and work experience have endowed her with strong communication skills and meticulous attention to detail. She also gained an understanding of organizational structure and tools for managing teams. Her education combined with her creative passion find her well equipped for this position.

After moving back to Homer in 2014, Katelyn met her husband, Van, and built a family with him. She now works for Seaside Women’s Care at South Peninsula Hospital. When she’s not at work she can be found in the theatre, exploring new artistic outlets, chasing two little boys around, and generally enjoying the beautiful chaos this phase of life has to offer.
