Auditions for Disney's Beauty and the Beast will be taking place at the Homer High School Mariner Theatre on Saturday, May 21 at 1 pm & Sunday, May 22 at 5 pm. Show dates will be October, 20-30 (7 shows) at the Mariner Theatre.

The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self. But time is running out and if the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.

Most roles in this show will be for those in the 14-100 age range with some roles for younger children.

This is an open audition. No need to prepare a song or monologue. You will be taught a couple of songs to sing and given a chance to read and show us your movement. If you'd like to take a look at the songs ahead of time, musical audition materials are available for pickup at the Pier One Theatre office above the Homer Bookstore.
